AT1 - Anti-trapping
PREVENTIVE & CONTROLING SYSTEM FOR OPENING LIFT DOORS

There is a danger of being trapped between the opening doors and the lift’s door frame. For example, in panorama lifts where children have their hands on the glass door. As the doors open, hands can potentially get trapped between the door and door frame.

With the Lightspeed Lift System AT1 - Anti-trapping this can be limited since the system detects if a hand comes into the danger zone. The system detects an obstacle in the vicinity of the lift door and the door frame when the lift doors are opening. This detection provides options for opening the door slowly or immediately stopping it, depending on the lift’s control unit settings.

AT1 - ANTI-TRAPPING:

   Highly reliable

measure cycle 240 times per second
       system is self-calibrating
not influenced by dust or moisture

   Long life span

   Esthetical and robust design

   Plug and play installation

Suitable for all lift types and lift doors

HOW DOES THE SYSTEM WORK

The Lightspeed Lift System AT1 - Anti-trapping detection can be mounted in the lift car door frame or the landing door frame. Optical cable and detection clip is mounted on the left and right of the frame. It has a bevelled leading edge so is not susceptible to damage from shopping trolleys, push chairs and as the system is pressure sensitive it will not react to impact blows. As the system is wired into the relevant floor level door circuit it will not be interfered with when the lift is at another floor level.

LIGHTSPEED TECHNOLOGY

A patented system is used whereby light is sent through a optical cable. This cable thus functions as an optical conductor. A light is received at the end of the cable and is compared to the signal that was originally transmitted. Deformation (bending) of the cable is detected by the transmitter/receiver module with which various actions can be programmed in the software.

NEW SAFETY STANDARDS EN 81-20 & EN 81-50

According to the safety norms, to minimize the risk of dragging the hands of children between lift doors and the frame. Automatic power operated horizontally sliding doors made of glass dimensions greater that stated  in 5.3.7.2 (EN 81-20) shall be provided with means to minimize the risk, by:

"making the glass opaque on the side exposed to the user by the use of either frosted glass or the application of frosted material to a height of minimum 1,10 m, or

Sensing the presence of fingers at least up to 1,60 m above sill and stopping the door movement in the opening direction, or

limiting the gap between door panels and frame to maximum 4 mm at least up to a minimum of 1,60 m above sill. This value due to wear may reach 5 mm."

The AT1 - Anti-trapping provides the solution for not only detecting hands, but also gives the option to slow down the door movement or immediately stopping the lift doors.
